I’m very honored to be awarded as a Grand Rapids Business Journal, 40 Under 40 Business Leader of West Michigan! Class of 2020. After reading the email, I was in a bit of disbelief. Previous leaders selected have accomplished so much, how could I compare. I haven’t done enough. I have stopped and started more time than I can count. I had to remember it’s not about comparing who I am or what I haven’t done is about intentionally living my purpose: To inspire & encourage individuals to live authenticity.
I am so excited to celebrate virtually with all the honorees! We all know 2020 has been a terrible year, from the pandemic, so much devastation, to losing some of our favorite celebrities and activists. Personally, the last four months have been especially difficult for me mentally and emotionally. Haven’t experience depression that bad since I was a teenager. Praise God for His love, mercy, for therapy, and an amazing support system.
